Xantris Bros Olive Oil Mill Ltd was founded in 1999 in Pissouri village, Limassol district, Cyprus. From the beginning, the company has focused on the production and trade of extra virgin olive oil, a key element of the Mediterranean diet.
Its exceptional quality is based on organic farming and carefully controlled extraction processes. To ensure full traceability and consistency, the company owns its own olive groves in the Arka area of Pissouri, marketed under the name “ARKA Olive Groves”. From planting to harvesting, olive trees are cultivated without chemical fertilisers or pesticides, making Xantris Bros one of the first companies in Cyprus to embrace organic farming principles.
Once harvested, olives are transferred without delay to the Xantris Bros Olive Oil Mill, so that their beneficial properties are preserved. The oil is extracted exclusively by mechanical means, in line with the guidelines of the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC). Detailed, strictly monitored procedures at every stage of the extraction process safeguard the olives’ micro- and macro-nutrients. The resulting product is a superior-quality organic extra virgin olive oil.
LACON Cyprus is the authorised body responsible for inspecting and certifying both the organic cultivation practices in ARKA Olive Groves and the procedures followed at the Xantris Bros Olive Oil Mill.
