Description
A.P.O. FOGGIA, recognized as a Producers' Organization with DDS No. 31/ALI of January 29, 2015, issued by the Puglia Region, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 1308/2013 (Mi.P.A.A.F.) of November 24, 2014, operates primarily within the province of Foggia. Its registered office is at Via Fiume, 40, Foggia.
A.P.O. FOGGIA has always conducted all its activities aimed at maintaining the requirements set by EU legislation, in accordance with the recognition it has obtained.
A.P.O. FOGGIA's general objective is to adapt the production and supply of its 3,200 member producers to market needs, and in particular to concentrate, incentivize, enhance, and protect the production of olives and olive oil.
The A.P.O. FOGGIA aims, in general, to adapt the production and supply of its 3,200 member producers to market needs and, in particular, to concentrate, incentivize, enhance, and protect the production of olives and olive oil.
In accordance with its nature as an olive oil producers' organization, having joined the A.O.P.: Consorzio Nazionale Olivicoltori scarl, it also carries out activities aimed at:
ensuring the planning of members' production and its adjustment to demand, both in terms of quantity and quality;
concentrating supply and directly marketing members' production;
participating in the management of market crises;
reducing production costs and stabilizing producer prices;
Promote environmentally friendly cultivation practices and production techniques, with the aim of improving product quality and food hygiene, protecting water, soil, and landscape quality, and promoting biodiversity. It also promotes traceability processes, also for the purpose of fulfilling the obligations set forth in EC Regulation No. 178/2002;
Ensure transparency and regularity in economic relations with members in determining product sales prices;
Adopt innovative technologies;
Provide members with assistance in the rational and cost-effective operation of olive oil production, including through the implementation of shared services;
Improve the professional, economic, social, and cultural conditions of members and olive oil sector operators;
Orientate members' production in line with consumer demand, both qualitatively and quantitatively;
Enhance and promote products.
In summary, A.P.O. FOGGIA carries out a series of activities and initiatives aimed at both protecting the interests of its members and protecting end consumers.
